We are looking for a part-time, possibly leading to full-time, Traveling Occupational Therapist.
This position requires you to travel from home to home to provide services in Manitowoc County.
The hours required for this position will be during the day and afternoon hours.
This position provides assessment and therapy for children with severe emotional disturbances and mental health difficulties.
Our ideal candidate would have experience working with sensory integration problems as the result of complex trauma, along with other proprioceptive and daily living challenges.
If the candidate does not have this experience, they must be willing to attend various trainings and continuing education opportunities to become more familiar in these areas.
SALARY:
$30.
00 an hourSCHEDULE:
The hours of work for this position will vary and will be dependent upon the hours that the Clinic is open to provide services.
Typically, this is Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:
00 am and 9:
00 pm.
Evening hours are required for this position.
KEY
Responsibilities:
Completing developmental screenings and evaluation for clients, primarily related to sensory processing and other trauma-related problems Establishing a plan of care and implementing individual treatment based on evaluation results, functional goals, and by utilizing appropriate techniques.
Collaborating with members of the client's treatment team, including individual therapists, skills workers, and case manager Maintaining accurate documentation Providing supervision for OT students in a master's program Equal Employment Opportunity/M/F/disability/protected veteran status Must possess a Master's Degree.
State License in Occupational Therapy.
Proof of completion of required externship hours.
Must have reliable transportation daily, a valid driver's license, and automobile insurance.
Experience working with sensory integration problems as the result of complex trauma, along with other proprioceptive and daily living challenges is preferred.
