Summary:
Serve as a faculty member in LTC's Public safety programs providing education in the EMS, fire, and incident command, and rescue topic areas.
This individual demonstrates expertise with fire and EMS specific tools, equipment, and processes.
Faculty work with students in the classroom and lab areas.
Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.
Educate students with core knowledge and current developments in the discipline.
Provide regular curriculum and course improvement with continually updated teaching methods.
Participate in subject or program leadership teams and college-wide committees.
Work effectively in a team-based environment.
Seek opportunities for continuous professional development.
Provide high quality customer service throughout all interactions.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Emergency Services, Education, or a related area is required OR an Associate's degree in an Emergency Services discipline.
If no Bachelor's degree, individual hired will be required to enroll in an accredited bachelor degree program in a related discipline and to complete the degree within 5 years of employment.
Master's degree in a related discipline is preferred.
Applicant must have a minimum of two years (4,000 hours) of experience specific to program needs at the time of hire (recent experience preferred).
Applicant must have two years of teaching experience.
All instructors are required to meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job specific licensing standards.
Per subject area taught, instructors are required to possess the appropriate credential.

Wisconsin DHS EMS Instructor 1 required.

WTCS Emergency Services Instructor I required at the time of hire.
Individual hired will be required to obtain Instructor II certification within one year if not already certified.
WTCS Fire Apparatus Driver/ Operator certification is required.
Wisconsin CDL license is required.
Fire Inspector certification is preferred.
Additional certifications in technical rescue, incident command and emergency management, and/or haz-mat preferred.
MVR CHECK is required.
The employee in this position is a potential operator of a Lakeshore Technical College owned vehicle or may be responsible for driving any other motor vehicles on behalf of the College.
