Summary:
Faculty in this position demonstrate advanced knowledge and skill in design, build, and management of websites and software applications including writing or adapting code.
Faculty are required to develop user interfaces using cutting edge technologies and implement security and data protection applications.
Engage IT business leaders in a continual pursuit of knowledge for use in coursework.
Educate students with core knowledge and current developments in the discipline.
Provide regular curriculum and course improvement with continually updated teaching methods.
Participate in subject or program leadership teams and college-wide committees.
Work effectively in a team-based environment.
Seek opportunities for continuous professional development.
Requires work with high school partners and potential teaching in that environment.
Provide high quality customer service throughout all interactions.

(100%) Instruction Faculty in this role are required to maintain proficiency using emerging and existing technology in the development and delivery of curriculum.

Assist in the maintenance of program accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission activities and requirements.
Create effective relationships with district business partners for the purpose of establishing long term advisory and student experiential learning when applicable.
Respond to student needs in a professional timeline synonymous with industry best practices.
Instruction/Manage the Learning Environment Curriculum:
Integrate learning theories and models into curriculum design.
Update curriculum appropriately in curriculum design repository system and the college learning management system according to the college schedule and guidelines.
Delivery:
Facilitate learning, utilizing a variety of delivery modes and learning theories.
Encourage engagement of students while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and functioning environment.
Assessment:
Evaluate student learning based on course competencies and program outcomes, employing formative and summative assessments.
Provide constructive and timely feedback Retain records through the college information system according to program requirements.
Support Dual Credit and Credit for Prior Learning activities.
May require teaching within high school environment.
There may be operational needs requiring substitutions of alternative duties and/or the creation of flexible delivery (e.

SUPERVISORY SKILLS:

Experience with content management systems, with mobile application development and with relational database structure and design using SQL Server or MySQL is expected.
Recent experience in version control, current programming languages, and frameworks is required.
Ability to teach programming in a PC and Mac environment.
Knowledge of iPhone, iPad, Android and other mobile device application development.
Experience in Web server administration and Web application hosting.
Professional experience in C# programming, CSS, HTML, Java, JavaScript, JQuery, Microsoft Visual Studio, Mobile Development, MySQL, NET, PHP, and Python.
Experience with the interaction of Web marketing and Web design and how those industries tie into Web development.
Be familiar with basic hardware; use a laptop, printer, and scanning techniques equipment.
Securely access college network systems using appropriate multi-factor authentication, navigate through Windows; and appropriate navigation through the internet.
Use voicemail, email, and calendaring programs.
Understand database concepts and use queries; create a basic spreadsheet; create simple charts and graphs; develop materials using presentation software; manage and create files.
Use video conferencing.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Web and/or Software Development, Business Administration, or related field OR enrolled in, and actively pursuing, completion of a bachelor's degree required.

Recent experience specific to program needs preferred.
